La Jolla

Today we drove around La Jolla to kill time and give E a nap before my acupuncture appointment this morning. M and I looked at the houses, took in a view of all of San Diego from Mt. Soledad and drove down towards the beach where we discussed the seals in the Children's Pool. We talked about animals that are endangered or extinct. We'd had this discussion at the zoo a couple weeks ago (along with a talk about poaching) so it was a refresher course. We evenhad a mini-debate. She felt that the seals should be moved from the Children's Pool (I think her basis for this statement was the fact that she wants to swim there) while I felt they should be protected.
