Camp Fire

We're starting the "Path to the Environment" section in Camp Fire and it was my night to host last night so we did a couple projects. First, we made a simple paper project. I cut out trees with roots, a bushy green top for the tree and grass to "plant" the roots in - all glued on a blue piece of paper. Margie's came out a little, uh, Picasso. I think she was quite distracted with all her friends around her. We tried again today with the extra pieces I had cut out and she did it much more "correct" - all on her own, by the way.

We also did a science project with celery and carnations and colored water. This one will take awhile to fully observe, but you can see the leaves are beginning to turn.
