Counting

Margie asked me to count to 100 the other day so, while I was puttering around the kitchen, I did. After I had established the rythym of 1-9 every ten numbers, I had her join in by saying, "fifty...." and pointing to her to say "two!" and et cetera. Today I caught her counting to 40 all by herself nearly perfectly! She skipped a few numbers (especially those tricky teens), and did the 20's twice, but I was surprised by how much she picked up just by that one counting lesson we had!
